Founded in 2004 by Lee Gelb and Shelley Milano, Zavida Gemstones started out with a deceptively simple mission: to find a way to combine a love of gemstones and jewelry with a passion for philanthropy and global enrichment. To achieve this, we are committed to give back a unprecedented 25% of our profits to our artisans through programs such as the Zavida Silversmith Project, and one day hope to have a Zavida Project on each continent from which we source our pieces. We work closely with artisans around the globe in order to ensure that each Zavida piece is of the highest physical and ethical quality--no blood diamonds, no child labor, no unfair trades; just good people working together to make a living producing beautiful, unique jewelry.
